Yo I had heard a recent buzz that young Daniel "Diggy" Simmons son of Rev Run had recently rapped on a freestyle... and was kinda nice with it. Skeptically, I checked it out and it aint HALF bad... actually pretty decent! Better than W.F.F.( its the wack rapper's initials, he deserves no full name on this blog) if thats even saying much. But check it out for yourself below..word

Duane Powell speaks on Dr. Wax Records, a Chicago staple, gone for worse

This was a personal project I shot because the Chicago staple, Dr. Wax Records in Hyde Park, was officially closing the next day. It has been serving the Hyde Park and Chicago community for 30 years. Truly a big loss for real music to be sold, heard, and promoted. Peace to Duane Powell for the interview and Dr. Wax for their valued service over the years. -K: Easy

Big Bro Speaks on Hip Hop (Dirty South edition) pt .1

On my trip to "Da Ville" aka Music City, I got a chance holla at my older brother(yes same Mom type of brother) "D". He's a Educator-Photographer in da M-I-S-S and my 1st OFFICIAL tour guide to the culture of Hip Hop as a snotty-nose. He dropped some knowledge on me of how Hip Hop(local crews-clothes-shows) influenced the scene in the Nashville growing up and later on, influenced my friends and me. Dirty South has definitely progressed(thank gawd) since then in regards to the culture but its still not where we think it should be but hey..we def got more than mountains, sweet tea, and country music...fa sho! -K;EZ

AH YEAH!, Banned BET Black History PSA

BANNED FROM BET. AH YEAH KRS 1 PSA. from KANE U$A on Vimeo.

Crazy right??...sounds like an oxymoron or something that doesn't quite register properly. This commercial done by my homie KANEU$A was discarded by none other than, BET!? So sad but true. You would think they would have more openness for this type of creative avenue for AFRICAN-AMER history. And, just the displaying of some dope lyrics by my man KRS-ONE, but I guess I need to reevaluate. Anyways, enjoy this video and pray BET gets back on their square, smh

Stetsasonic- A.F.R.I.C.A.

On the real this helped me to remember some of the countries in A.f.r.i.c.a. as a a lil one. This could easily be used to teach kids and adults then and now on the various countries that exist there. A classic group Stetsasonic putting it down on the strength! Even though the visual efx are a bit dated the message is def still relevant...dueces
