The Godfather and I...

This was def a bomb night @ the Hudson Hotel 5 dayz before Xmas with the man next to me ripping the tables for 2 and a half hours, Godfather-Legend Afrika Bambaataa. The crowd was packed and everyone was sweating it out (as they should). BAM threw on some old school Hip Hop along with the break beat for the B-Boys/Girls in the crowd along with some house and 60's r/b soul...crazy and after all that maneuvering through mass amount of his faithful Hip Hop disciples, I managed to step in and get this pic above. It wasn't my 1st time meeting him or dancing to his set and it sure wont be my last! Best believe we gotta get him in our doc or at the least be able to run the idea by him. Video footage to coming soon....PEACE to all my ZULUS! and beautiful people...Peace Love Unity-Have Fun!

I See HIP HOP..KIA Hamsters!??
This commercial is funny...plus they use a classic joint from Black Sheep, "This or That". I don't know why they chose hamsters?? I just hope Dres/Black Sheep got sum ducats for this...anyway enjoy if you haven't seen it!
Thankx Moms for the heads up..you were right!
p.s. Why does that hamster playing the drums remind me of a member of a popular, late night hip hop band..hmmmmm

Duane Powell speaks on Dr. Wax Records, a Chicago staple, gone for worse
This was a personal project I shot because the Chicago staple, Dr. Wax Records in Hyde Park, was officially closing the next day. It has been serving the Hyde Park and Chicago community for 30 years. Truly a big loss for real music to be sold, heard, and promoted. Peace to Duane Powell for the interview and Dr. Wax for their valued service over the years. -K: Easy

I had a chance to get an interview with him unfortunately the day before a Chicago South Side staple, Dr. Wax Records, was closing for good the next day(I wish it wasnt so). This is a snippet of the interview...Soon come with the full joint! stay plugged to get the 4-eleven..

AH YEAH!, Banned BET Black History PSA
BANNED FROM BET. AH YEAH KRS 1 PSA. from KANE U$A on Vimeo.
Crazy right??...sounds like an oxymoron or something that doesn't quite register properly. This commercial done by my homie KANEU$A was discarded by none other than, BET!? So sad but true. You would think they would have more openness for this type of creative avenue for AFRICAN-AMER history. And, just the displaying of some dope lyrics by my man KRS-ONE, but I guess I need to reevaluate. Anyways, enjoy this video and pray BET gets back on their square, smh

Cashville gets up too! pt. 2
I lucked up on this graffiti wall mural in the art district of Nashville aka "Cashville" when i was snoopin around the area during thanxgiving '09. It's real hard to find murals like these in this city so you really have to know where to look. It was so vicious that i had to get it. Cats below the Mason-Dixon line get down too, despite the city's rep for easy livin and country music. So yeah don't sleep bruh! more to come
